When legendary Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher collaborates with adidas, it’s a given that sparks will fly. The partnership is back for a third act, continuing its alliance with a fresh release—the LG2 SPZL in a "Bottle Green" colorway. Together, they have created footwear that marries Gallagher's iconic style with adidas' storied heritage.
The adidas LG2 SPZL "Bottle Green" is a loving homage to classic adidas footwear, with design cues taken from vintage adidas sneakers that Gary Aspden, the spearhead of the adidas SPZL line, unearthed from the archives. This release follows the footsteps of a previous all-white model. Still, this time introduces harmonious hits of green and gum—a timeless and versatile combination with a nostalgic yet contemporary appeal. The sneaker's construction is meticulously detailed, featuring leather along the eyestays, Three Stripes, and heel. These leather elements boldly contrast with the canvas base layer and suede panels adorning the toe and heel. As for the color scheme, the sneaker is predominantly cloaked in a crisp white hue, but the green accents on the Three Stripes and heel tab catch your attention. Completing the look is a white foam midsole, which sits atop a classic gum rubber outsole—portions extending upwards to grace the toe.
The Liam Gallagher x adidas LG2 SPZL Bottle Green will release September 8, 2023, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $130.
