While those of us who had our formative years in the 2000s like to think that SpongeBob belongs to our generation, think again. The show is still running, with feature-length films and spin-offs galore. If you didn’t know, the ever-lovable fry cook just celebrated his in-universe birthday on July 14, and to commemorate the event, LEGO has announced the first-ever SpongeBob SquarePants LEGO set made for adults.
LEGO x SpongeBob Bikini Bottom Set Details
LEGO takes us all straight down to the ocean floor, and thankfully, we didn’t end up in Rock Bottom. SpongeBob’s block in Bikini Bottom, featuring his pineapple home, Squidward’s Easter Island-inspired house, and Patrick’s rock, is the anchor point for the set, with additional callouts to the series throughout.
The facades of SpongeBob's and Squidward's homes hide their interiors, displaying items in SpongeBob’s home, such as his bed, alarm clock, TV set, and living room chair. Over at Squidward’s, we see his Bold and Brash painting on the wall, his bathroom and tub, and of course, a stand to read sheet music for his clarinet. Patrick also gets some interior, though you’ll have to lift the rock to reveal his sand furniture and TV.
In addition to the interiors of the home, the set also includes references to the iconic Bikini Bottom town sign, SpongeBob’s bubble stand, and Jellyfish Fields. Minifigures for SpongeBob, Squidward, and Patrick come alongside a brick-built Gary, SpongeBob’s pet snail, and a brick-built DoodleBob.

The LEGO x SpongeBob Squarepants: Bikini Bottom building set is available for pre-order, with shipping expected on September 1, 2026. The set will also be available in-store and online for immediate shipping starting on the same day. Retail is set at $220. In addition to the Bikini Bottom set, a BrickHeadz figure of SpongeBob is available for pre-order. It will also ship and release on the same day as the Bikini Bottom set, with a retail price of $13.
