Rising through the ranks of the fashion world, Salomon has been able to turn its technical hiking-ready silhouettes into runway show staple pieces over the last few years. Collaborations with the likes of Bodega, Kar L’Art de L’Automobile and Hidden.NY has aided this rise in demand. The latest collaboration from the French-based company is staying local once again as Le Labo Store, a boutique located in Valence, France, is putting this spin on the Salomon XT-4.
Coming in two colorways, one of which features a gradient color design, the construction remains standard to a pair of XT-4s with a textile upper getting covered in fused plastic overlays. On the brown pair, the aforementioned gradient pattern is visible with the color transitioning from a dark brown to a light tan from heel to toe. Accenting black fused overlays wrap around the silhouette and add depth to the design as well as function as it helps create a more durable sneaker. More earth tones appear on the tongue and sockliner while the nearby Quicklace System comes in black. Underfoot, a white foam midsole gets accenting yellow hits on the Agile Chasis System while the rubber outsole gets covered in black.
Tonal shades of blue cover the second pair featured in this pack with grey and navy accents throughout. Branding details, which can be found on both pairs, come in white along the textile upper while the tongues XT-4 branding takes on a blue and red shade on this blue variant. Underfoot, a two-tone blue and white foam midsole get accented by the Agile Chasis System, which comes in yet another tonal shade of blue, though the rubber outsole below gets blacked out.
Both colorways of the Le Labo Store x Salomon XT-4 are slated to release in 2022 through Le Labo Store, Salomon, and select retailers online and in-store. As of now, sizing and pricing information is TBA. For more updates regarding the latest in sneakers and streetwear, keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app.
