Steph Curry isn’t the only one-team superstar to go through a sneaker free agency. Before he signed to Nike and kicked off the still-dominant Nike Kobe line, the Black Mamba was a young superstar no longer tied to his previous adidas deal, free to wear whatever he wanted. Of course, that meant some PE colorways from the GOAT.

Now, 23 years later, the pair is up for auction through Pharrell’s JOOPITER auction house, and thanks to Kobe's signatures with the number 8 on the side panels of both shoes and the rare nature of the game-worn PE, the pair has already reached a bid of $150,000 with eight days left before it closes.

If you want to loan us a few hundred grand, we would love to add this to the office mantel, but otherwise, we’ll just join you in watching the number climb. For all the latest rare sneaker auction news, download the Sole Retriever App.
