There’s an iconic picture of Dipset rapper Juelz Santana in an all-over print American flag outfit, complete with jacket, jersey, shirt, and pants. Now, Juelz has a new pair of shoes to pair with the patriotic fit.

In 2001, when Kobe Bryant was still an adidas signature athlete, the Black Mamba broke out a pair of the space-age Kobe 2s in an American flag colorway to pay tribute to those lost on 9/11. After wearing the shoes in-game in ‘01, Bryant gifted the pair to then-high schooler LeBron James in 2002. Even though the shoes didn’t fit, the story goes that LeBron was so honored by the gift that he squeezed into the shoes and wore them during a high school game.

After coming back this summer under the Crazy 2 moniker (Kobe’s name can only be used on Nike shoes these days), the moon boot silhouette dropped first in the famed silver and Lakers-themed All-Star colorways, followed by classic renditions in white and black. With no official release in 2001, we fully expect a wide drop of the USA Crazy 2 to be the most hyped retro colorway yet.

Sources tell Sole Retriever that the adidas Crazy 2 USA will hit shelves sometime in 2026. Considering the shoes are a tribute to 9/11, it’s likely they will drop sometime in September, but no date is confirmed at this time.
