Ronnie Fieg never skips a chance to celebrate New York City. Hot off Kith’s 15th anniversary mega celebration that saw the debut of the Kith x New Balance 2011, a gallery showcase of the brand’s massive collab archive, and new collabs dropping almost weekly, the decade-and-a-half party isn’t over yet.
For The City
Turning the Kith x New Balance 2011 into three NYC icons, the Monument pack celebrates Central Park, Madison Square Garden, and a yet-to-be-deciphered floral garden theme. All three pairs are covered in textured suede and perforated leather, debuted in an ad campaign that replaces the side panel with autumn leaves, ticket stubs, and flowers.
The Central Park pair in tan and maroon suede is a throwback to the beloved 2014 Ronnie Fieg x New Balance 530 Central Park. The MSG colorway needs no explanation, with a debut already expected at Kith Night at the Garden, which has now become an annual tradition. Finally, the Garden colorway seems to be inspired by an old sample of the New Balance 530, which we were able to spot in Kith’s Footwear Archive book.
