Kiko Kostadinov and Asics have forged a name for themselves in the sneaker world with collaborations effortlessly blending fashion with functionality. With Kiko at the helm of Asics SportStyle, the line that shifts towards lifestyle-oriented designs, the brand's presence in the streetwear landscape has been lifted. This year, the partnership gears up for another anticipated release as teaser images for the Fall/Winter 2023 collection have surfaced.
The teased collection reveals two of Asics' iconic silhouettes - the GT-2160 and GEL-Kayano 20. The GEL-Kayano 20, revered for its stability and comfort, is showcased in a greyscale palette. Blue and yellow highlights strategically punctuate the design, with the blue making a significant appearance on the heel and faint undertones on the Gel sole unit. Its construction remains loyal to the Kayano 20 blueprint, featuring a mesh base fortified by TPU, leather, and suede layers. In contrast, the GT-2160 stands out with its verdant theme, predominantly covered in varied green shades. The mesh foundation is dipped in a deep green, while the overlays exude a refreshing minty hue. Amplifying the sneaker's appeal, GT-2160 branding at the heel is encased in shimmering metallic gold, harmonizing with the minty green foam midsole and the congruent rubber outsole.
The Kiko Kostadinov’s Asics SportStyle Fall/Winter 2023 lineup is set to release in Fall/Winter 2023 through Asics and select retailers online and in-store.
