Kiko Kostadinov's collaborations with Asics have consistently pushed the boundaries of athletic footwear design, blending avant-garde aesthetics with Asics' advanced sports technology. As the head of Asics’ SportStyle division, Kostadinov’s designs reflect his distinctive style and showcase Asics' commitment to innovation. This May, the partnership continues with the release of the Kiko-designed Asics Gel-Quantum Zientzia in a striking Knicks-themed colorway, coming at a perfect time as the NBA team has just defeated the 76ers to advance to the next round of the NBA Playoffs. Alongside this pair, Kiko is also launching two colorways of the Gel-Quantum Kinetic.

The sneaker features a sophisticated blend of textures and materials, with a base layer of wide space mesh at the toe and midfoot for breathability, complemented by a tighter woven mesh at the collar and tongue for enhanced comfort and fit. The upper primarily boasts crisp white tones, accented by vibrant blue on the Asics stripes at the midfoot and the collar piping, injecting a sporty and dynamic look. This design is set off by pops of orange on the Gel-Quantum midsole, which provides superior cushioning and a matching orange rubber outsole for durable traction and a bold finish.

The Kiko Kostadinov x Asics Gel-Quantum Zientzia Knicks will first be available on May 9, 2024, exclusively at a special pop-up event in London, followed by a wider release on May 10, 2024, through Kiko Kostadinov's website and his Japanese storefront. A global launch takes place on May 17. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $290.
