KidSuper is playing all sides of the World Cup hype. With soccer on the mind of every sneaker brand under the sun, the Brooklyn creative with a child-like take on the streetwear industry is adding his spin to projects influenced by the same soccer ball on opposite sides of the globe.

From Congo to Japan, and Back to the States

Hot on the heels of a collab with longtime partner Puma on a Team USA soccer cleat, KidSuper is taking it to Japan for a BAPE STA collection with at least two pairs connected to two countries’ soccer squads. First up, the Japan pair is draped in blue and white patent leather, with blue covering most of the upper and white on the toebox and star logo.

The KidSuper collab effort is easily recognizable on the star and the lateral heel, with eye graphics in the middle of the stars and face graphics on the heel. In addition to the Japan pair, a colorway for the Democratic Republic of Congo combines light blue, red, and yellow with the same face graphic details.
