In 1997, Fujitsu S.C. rebranded as Kawasaki Frontale. Based in the Kanagawa Prefecture of Tokyo, the club is regarded by many soccer fans as one of the best in Japan, playing in the country's top tier J1 League. To celebrate its 26th birthday, it has teamed up with its official kit manufacturer Puma for the Kawasaki Frontale x Puma Suede VTG MIJ "Black." A must-own for fans of the Beautiful Game, keep on reading to find out everything that we know so far, including confirmed release information, pricing details, and more.
Painted in a slick "Black" colorway, Kawasaki Frontale's take on the Suede VTG is made in Japan from premium Himeji leather and suede. The German sportswear giant's iconic Formstrip shoots through the lateral and medial sidewalls with a blue tile motif that nods to the Japanese club's Home colors, and the soccer team's logo adorns the tongue. Around the heel you'll find "26th Anniversary" branding in gold foil, and underfoot, the EVA midsole has been dipped in a crisp "White" hue and textured for that vintage look that we all know and love.
The Kawasaki Frontale x Puma Suede VTG MIJ Black releases on December 25th, 2022 in men's sizes at atmos, Puma, and select stockists with a retail price of around $160.
