Dating back to 2005, Reebok and their Premier Road silhouette didn’t see much success, deciding to retire the silhouette shortly thereafter. Helping revive this forgotten running model in 2020 was KANGHYUK, who helped upgrade the silhouette into the modern day while still retaining the classic low-top look. Fast forward to 2022 and the two brands went back to the lab to create the upcoming KANGHYUK x Reebok Premier Road Modern Mid.
Coming in two monochromatic color schemes, the silhouette elevates the low-top runner by incorporating 15 design elements from various Premier models. On both the all-black look, as well as the sky blue colorway sits a single molded upper with mesh underlays all throughout, creating various shapes and cutouts from heel to toe. Running through the eyestays is a set of tonal flat laces, stopping just before the Reebok branding atop the tongue. Back on the heel, KANGHYUK text appears in a tonal shade of black and blue on each colorway respectively. Rounding out the look is the DMX cushioned midsole and rubber outsole, both coming in a monochromatic shade matching the rest of the silhouette.
The KANGHYUK x Reebok Premier Road Modern Mid Black is set to release on June 23rd, 2022 in the EU with a US release through Reebok set for June 25th. The Blue colorway will see a release about a week later on July 1st through Reebok and select retailers. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $240.
