Kahleah Copper’s Ginger Ale-Inspired adidas Harden 9 PE is Smooth Like Seagram’s

Phoenix Mercury guard Kahleah Copper was presented her latest adidas Harden 9 PE at a team meal this week, and let’s just say a (non-alcoholic) toast was in order.
Based on Copper’s beverage of choice, Seagram’s Ginger Ale, the Harden 9 is wrapped in bright green with a black interior bootie and laces next to a Seagram’s-style label of her number, 2, on the tongue and heel tab. The custom branding continues on the insoles, with the same ginger ale’d logo on both, alongside references to the WNBA star. “Copper’s” in Seagram’s Olde English font is present on the left shoe, while Copper’s motto, “Just a Kid From Norf Philly,” finds a home on the right.
Almost outdoing the shoes themselves, the box made Copper do a double-take upon first look, thinking it was a real 12-pack of soda. Made to mimic a Seagram’s Ginger Ale case, the logos are swapped with Copper’s name and adidas branding alongside the tagline “It’s Good to Be You” printed on the outside and under the top.
Copper broke out the Seagram’s PEs in Sunday night’s game at home against the Atlanta Dream, but unfortunately, the green shoes didn’t bring luck. The Mercury ended up losing to the Dream 74-66. This is Copper’s third PE with adidas, and we can’t wait to see what comes next.
