Jayson Tatum is ready for a fresh start. The Boston Celtics star is gearing up for his first full season since his devastating Achilles injury, and his first time as a 1A superstar without Jaylen Brown as his wingman. As Celtics fans look forward to a fresh start going all-in on Tatum, Jordan Brand is following suit with an all-new Jordan Tatum 5 on the way.
Number 5 for Number 0
The Jordan Tatum 5 popped up in a first look preview this week, adding yet another sequel to Tatum’s Jordan signature line. Following a strong run of Tatum 4s, the Tatum 5 switches up the aesthetics of the line with a forefoot strap and a large angular stabilizer at the midfoot. Seen in just one image, the purple and pink colorway previewed features a purple base and a splash of pink paint across the side panels.
Featuring a streamlined upper design, the toebox features perforations on the vamp and side panels. These are split into three distinct sections, with more perforations on the front and back panels. Beneath the side panel, the midsole extends up with a textured support panel bordered by a thick line. The colorway in the previewed pair brings pink paint splashes to the side panel and hits of cream on the forefoot strap. The side panels don’t give us a look at any Jordan or JT branding, but expect some logos on the tongue, heel, and insoles.
