Literally kicking off the new year.

Jordan Brand is renowned for its vast selection of "Bred" sneakers. From the Air Jordan 1 all the way to the Air Jordan 37, each one of Michael Jordan's signature silhouettes have received that famous makeover over the past four decades. Now, Luka Dončić is getting his very own pair with the Jordan Luka 1 "Bred." Unlike all the other colorways that have been unveiled so far, this one drops the usual bold and vibrant palette and joins the dark side instead.
Crafted from a stealthy black knit, we're getting serious Darth Vader vibes from this Luka 1. Infused with Flightwire cable technology, sleek taping surrounded the entire shoe for a streamlined look and feel. A dash of leather features on the eyelets, and tongue has been done up with a perforated texture and decorated with Dončić's logo in a striking university red hue. This tone makes its way to the Jumpman logo on the vamp as well as the ultra comfortable Formula 23 foam midsole underfoot. Of course, you can't talk about the "Bred" without mentioning the Latin phrase "Non Desistas Non Exieris" on the medial side, which translates to "never give up, never surrender" in English.
The Jordan Luka 1 Bred is set to release on January 1st, 2023, in men's, gradeschool, pre-school, and toddler sizing for $110, $80, $70, and $50, respectively. They will be available at Nike as well as at select Jordan Brand retailers worldwide, both online and in-store.
