If you thought that the Jordan Jumpman Team 2 was a brand new silhouette, we honestly wouldn't blame you. One of Michael Jordan's most underrated models, this basketball shoe actually made its grand debut back in 1998 and it helped Jordan Brand become the household name that it is today. To celebrate its 25th birthday, the legendary sneaker is being brought back in its original form with the Jordan Jumpman Team 2 "Black Toe."
At first glance, you'll notice straight away that the white tumbled leather side panels have been taken straight from the Air Jordan 13, while the ankle portion is lifted from the Air Jordan 14, complete with its supercar-inspired emblem. However, that's where all the similarities seem to end. With an oversized ballistic mesh tongue and a Team Jordan branded pull tab around the heel, the Jumpman Team 2 is painted in a "Chicago" color scheme. Underfoot, you'll find a chunky black Nike Air midsole that's done up with a water ripple-like effect, and "JORDAN" is written across the lateral side in a bold true red font. This is then equipped with a crisp rubber outsole for unrivaled cushioning and traction both on the court and on the street.
The Jordan Jumpman Team 2 Black Toe is set to release in Holiday 2022 in men's sizes. Retailing for $150, they'll be available at Nike as well as at select Jordan Brand retailers worldwide, both online and in-store.
