Jordan Brand and Nike were somewhat late to enter the foam-based slip-on trend that dominated the footwear industry throughout 2022, however, both labels have a slew of offerings set to release this year. As we reported previously, Nike’s bringing out its Yeezy Slide-like Calm Slide silhouette while Jordan Brand is bringing forth a Hex Mule and Hex Slide that comes inspired by hexagonal figures. Now, we’ve got our best look yet at the Jordan Hex Mule SP “Light Silver."
Taking on a hexagonal shape, the slide-like design comes covered in a single shade of light silver with squared-off portions on the toe and heel while protrusions along the sidewalls of the midfoot give the model a geometric look. Branding details remain minimal with small Jumpman logos spotted on the heel of the footbed and along the sidewalls. For its one-piece construction, Jordan Brand utilizes “Bio Foam” technology, a sugarcane-derived foam composite that offers comfort and support while being environmentally friendly. Two perforations along the medial side offer some sort of breathability, though, unlike a slide, the mule design comes with a closed-toe portion. Rounding out the design is the herringbone traction pattern on the foam outsole.
The Jordan Hex Mule SP Light Silver W is set to release Spring 2023 through Nike, though select retailers like Feature currently are hosting raffles that will end on February 7th, 2023. Releasing in women’s sizing, the retail price is set at $65.
