Over the past five-plus years, rumors have indicated Jordan Brand was set to bring back the coveted Air Jordan 11 Retro "Columbia." Last seen in 2014 and labeled "Legend Blue," JB has yet to bring back this original Air Jordan 11 colorway in its true form. It was retroed in 2001, However, the patent leather was cut thinner, and the shape was altered a bit. Because we are in the age of remastering and reimagining, fans have clamored over the possibility of this original AJ11 returning with OG specs. Ultimately, news of an Air Jordan 11 Retro "Columbia" return has been nothing more than rumors for year after year.
With Holiday 2023 set to bring back the Air Jordan 11 Retro "DMP," we must wait another year to see if Columbia's will make their long-awaited comeback. In the meantime, Jordan Brand has another option for you: the Jordan 6 Rings "Valor Blue,"Â originally released in 2020. While the Jordan 6 Rings "Valor Blue" is more similar to the Air Jordan 11 Retro Low "University Blue," it may appease non-sneakerheads who are looking for a pair to tide them over until the AJ 11 "Columbia" finally comes back. OG heads will likely pass on these and hate them altogether. Either way, the Jordan 6 Rings "Valor Blue" is releasing, whether we want it or not.
Could the time finally come for the AJ11 "Columbia" to return for Holiday 2024? It's too early to tell, with news for Spring 2024 just getting unveiled.
The Jordan 6 Rings Valor Blue is set to release in spring 2024 through Nike, SNKRS, and select Jordan Brand retailers. Coming in men's sizing, retail is set at $170. For the latest information on this and other Jordan releases, download the Sole Retriever Mobile app and follow us on Twitter.
