The Montreal-based studio heads to Japan to work with Asics.
JJJJound has continued to be one of the top collaborators within the sneaker world in recent memory, working with the likes of New Balance and Reebok. Now the Montreal-based studio is getting their first partnership with Asics on a two-pack of Gel-Kayano 14’s.
Shades of silver and grey dominate both pairs mesh underlays in this collection, though each utilizes a secondary accent color of black and cream on one pair and white on the other. Leather overlays create the Asics branding on the profile and provide structure to the silhouette. JJJJound hits appear on the insole and near the heel overlay on the lateral of the right while Gel-Kayano text makes its appearance on the left. Down below, the GEL cushioning system is encapsulated by the white and cream midsole and outsole combo on one pair with a cream and black combo on the other.
Both colorways of the JJJJound x Asics Gel-Kayano 14 are set to release in August 2022 through jjjjound.com, Asics and select retailers online and in-store. As of this writing, sizing and pricing has yet to be announced.
