JJJJound, under the creative vision of Justin Saunders, has significantly impacted the world of fashion and footwear collaborations. The Montreal-based studio is now joining forces with adidas, one of the titans in the sportswear industry, for a highly anticipated release. While 2022 witnessed rumors and leaks of a possible adidas Samba collaboration, it was quickly clarified by Saunders that those pairs were not authentic. Now, official images by adidas show that a JJJJound x adidas Samba is on the horizon.
Continuing JJJJound’s minimalist design, the label’s Samba features a harmonious blend of off-white, black, and grey tones, striking a perfect balance between understated and elegant. The upper is enveloped in off-white premium leather across the midfoot, heel, and eyestays, providing a rich texture and sophisticated look. Adding to the visual appeal is the grey suede on the toe's T-shaped overlay, giving the shoe a subtle contrast. The black accents on the tongue, iconic Three Stripes, and heel tab punctuate the design, offering a classic yet fresh aesthetic. Internally, the sockliner gets a yellow leather finish with more JJJJound and adidas branding stamped in black. Underfoot sits a gum rubber midsole and outsole.
The JJJJound x adidas Samba OG Off White Core Black will release in Spring 2024 through JJJJound and adidas online. The retail price has yet to be announced. Download the Sole Retriever mobile app for real-time updates on this release and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
