Last September, ASICS took the wraps off the ASICS Collective. A range of collaborations made with some of the fashion industry's most influential names including Angelo Baque, Tremaine Emory, and Renell Madrano, the Japanese sportswear giant has now added a fourth to the collection with the Jessica Gonsalves x ASICS GEL-Nimbus 9 "White." Teaming up with the Procell co-founder, this sneaker is inspired by her family’s love of sailing.

While Gonsalves could have gone down the obvious route and designed a wavy blue sneaker, she has instead been influenced by the pearls that you might find in clams if you're lucky. Featuring a layered mesh and synthetic leather construction, the GEL-Nimbus 9 is dipped in an all-white color scheme and features contrasting textures and finishes throughout. Glossy panels clash and contrast with transparent details for a unique look that pays homage to the sea. Down below, a chunky GEL midsole features for comfort and cushioning that knows no bounds, and this is rounded off with pearlescent accents throughout.

The Jessica Gonsalves x ASICS GEL-NIMBUS 9 White is scheduled to release exclusively at Procell in New York City on October 22nd, 2022 followed by a much wider drop on October 28th, 2022. Expected to be available in men's sizes, retail is set at $170. Let us know if you’ll be grabbing a pair at the end of the month, and while you’re here, follow us on Twitter and download our Mobile app if you haven’t already!
