Jenna Ortega has taken the pop culture world by storm with an army of fans online after her performance in the latest story in the Addams Family universe - Wednesday. Since its debut on Netflix, we’ve seen Ortega appear at red-carpet events, sign deals with various brands, and now is set to be the face of an upcoming new lineup of products from adidas.
The Three Stripes has for quite some time signed some of the hottest stars across the entertainment industry, though many times it seems they fail to truly utilize the fame they can bring to the brand. For Ortega, things may be different as adidas is set to make her the face of its newest label that is designed for Gen Z and the coming generations. Considering her persona and reach to the youth, this may be a big win for the German sportswear giant, especially considering this is the first time in 50 years that they have introduced a new label (a la adidas Originals and adidas Performance).
“My love for adidas is one that goes back years. It’s always had such a presence in sport, music, and culture and continues to be an innovator in so many ways,” Ortega said regarding her signing onboard with The Three Stripes. “Growing up for me it always had to be adidas sneakers and tees as the go-to, to this day so much of my wardrobe is made up of the iconic three stripes. I feel so honored to become a part of this legendary family of changemakers and be the face of its all-new label. Can’t wait to show you guys.”
One of the adidas Executive Board Member’s, Brain Grevy, is also excited for the future with Ortega, sharing “At adidas, we are constantly looking at ways we can push the boundaries in both sport and culture, which is why it’s so exciting that we can announce Jenna Ortega has joined us, to launch our first new label in 50 years. A progressive and passionate next generation pioneer that is making waves across the globe, her fresh and creative way of thinking is what we, as a brand, found ourselves on and continue to be inspired by. We can’t wait to unveil what’s to come from this special partnership, very soon!”
While no timeline has been announced regarding the unveiling of adidas’ newest label, expect the rollout to begin in the coming months and Ortega to be spotted in the newest gear from The Three Stripes. Maybe a signature silhouette is in the works? We’ll have to wait and see.
