Jayson Tatum Debuts Custom Superman Jordan Tatum 3s During First Game Against the New York Knicks

Last night marked the first game in the second round of the NBA Playoffs for the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics as the bitter rivals faced off in a thrilling showdown that went into overtime. Ahead of the eventual loss to the Knicks, Boston Celtics star and Jordan Brand athlete Jayson Tatum tasked famed sneaker customizer Mache with creating a Superman-inspired rendition of Tatum’s third signature sneaker, the Jordan Tatum 3.

Taking on Superman's iconic color palette, the Tatum 3 is coated in red, blue, and gold hues, with the primary shade being blue. Most of the paneling on the upper is wrapped in this shade, including the toebox, midfoot, and the mesh tongue, while Superman’s “cape” wraps around the collar and heel in red.

Golden accents highlight the branding elements, including the mini Jumpman on the lateral toe and the JT lettering on the left shoe. Superman’s “S” logo is applied to the tongue of the right shoe and the medial side of the toe of both shoes. The tonal blue foam midsole and a multi-color outsole finish the design.
