Jayson Tatum watch is officially back on. After a remarkably fast return to the practice court after Achilles surgery, Tatum took a break from the YouTube updates for a bit, but now, with another video of the Celtics’ star driving to the rim in a rehab session, the green gang is back to hyping up a return to the lineup for a playoff run this season. To be fair, it’s understandable that Celtics fans would be clamoring for the return of their MVP, and if you need a reminder why, a newly surfaced pair of Tatum-exclusive championship Air Jordan 1s from 2024 is a perfectly timed refresher.
Posted to Instagram by reseller @sunsetsnkrs, the never-before-seen Air Jordan 1 MM colorway is covered in teal green with teal and black snakeskin added to the toe, lace, and heel panels. Gold hardware is added on the tongue label, heel tab, and side panel Swooshes to represent the Celtics’ 2024 chip, and the sockliner is quilted for an extra bit of luxury.

The colorway is completed with custom championship labels on the quilted insoles with Jumpan logos incorporated in a “BOSTON CELTICS 2024 Champions” banner, with Tatum’s motto “What they gon’ say now” added on the graphic on the right insole. If you ask us, this looks like a personal pair made specifically for Tatum, so it’s not exactly clear how they fell into the hands of a reseller.
Clearly, this pair from 2024 isn’t going to be released to the public anytime soon, and @sunsetsnkrs isn’t even answering questions on IG about what size the pair is, so good luck if you’re trying to cop.
