Just last week, Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown announced the launch of his new sportswear brand, 741, and his debut signature sneaker, the 741 Rover. While the Black Moon colorway preorder is live on the brand’s site, which will ship in late November 2024, Brown has already been spotted in a brand-new colorway.
Seen in a Dark Grey colorway, the sneaker retains its engineered knit top layer, which uses abrasion-resistant yarns for high stretch and spring back. This upper comes coated in a grey hue, while the jewel TPU reinforcements land along the forefoot and toe in an iridescent finish. The second layer below this also comes in a tonal grey finish, containing a non-stretch arch bandage and dynamic lacing alongside what 741 describes as “Super Supportive,” which holds the foot in place. For extra reinforcement, the heel comes with a molded counter sealed with heat, while the inside comes with a molded heavy-duty thermoplastic counter. Below, the midsole features hypergravity critical EVA foam and another jewel reinforcement near the heel. The semi-translucent rubber outsole that comes with engineered flex grooves is rounding out the look.
