High fashion, sportswear, and streetwear have all begun to merge in the last few years as brands from the upper echelon of fashion continue to extend their hands out to labels like Nike, adidas, and more. Continuing his rise in the industry, Simon Port Jacquemus and his eponymous fashion house landed a womenswear-focused collaboration with Nike earlier this year that brought us the Air Humuara LX, an updated take on the ACG-designed silhouette. It seems that the two won’t stop anytime soon as an all Pink colorway has recently appeared.
Across the silhouette’s leather, mesh, and suede construction, an all-over pink hue appears with contrasting cream, gold, and gum hits visible throughout. Around the toe, leather makes its only appearance on the mudguard while the suede lands on the toebox and along the profile of the sneaker, acting as the eyestays. Cream flat laces run up the mesh tongue towards a similarly shaded pull-tab and “Jacquemus” text resting up top. Minimalist branding is utilized for Nike with a metallic gold mini Nike Swoosh being the only visible Swoosh branding on the upper. Co-branded details can be found on the insole with both brands' names spelled out in tonal pink while Jacquemus appears once again on the heel. Rounding out the design is the pink foam midsole paired with a heavily tractioned gum rubber outsole.
The Jacquemus x Nike Air Humuara LX Pink W is slated to release on December 9th, 2022 through Jacquemus, Nike, and select retailers online and in-store.
