The Nike Ja will be the young star's first signature sneaker with a major brand.

Once you reach the pinnacle of professional basketball, joining the NBA, the spotlight shines brighter than ever on your playstyle as well as your fashion choices. While your average player is signed to a specific brand such as adidas or Nike, getting one's own signature sneaker is no small feat as it is reserved for the cream of the crop a la LeBron James or Kyrie Irving. As one of the league's most promising talents, Ja Morant was signed to Nike before he was drafted by the Memphis Grizzlies, and since then has been spotted rocking Swoosh products. After a monster 2021-2022 season that raised his profile, it seems that Nike is taking his deal a step further by giving Morant his own signature sneaker next summer.
Unfortunately as of this writing, we don’t have any early images of what the Nike Ja will look like, though considering his physical playstyle, the sneaker should be able to withstand his explosive physical playstyle that has drawn comparisons to D. Rose and Russell Westbrook. For its launch, Nike has plans to release three colorways, coming in Phantom/Action Green, Cobalt Bliss/Citron Tint, and Game Royal/Black. As we approach 2023 we should begin to receive early looks at this upcoming signature Nike silhouette from Morant.
The Nike Ja 1 is set to debut in two limited edition colorways for Spring 2023, followed by its three launch colorways and a GS exclusive during Summer 2023 through Nike and select retailers online and in-store. Releasing in men’s and gradeschool sizing, the retail prices are set at $110 and $90, respectively.
