Producing some of the most comfortable footwear in the game, HOKA has somewhat seen a rise in demand throughout 2022 and into 2023 as the French-based imprint has begun to collaborate with fashion labels and designers throughout the globe. For their latest collaborative effort, HOKA has employed UK-based designer Jean-Luc Ambridge’s brand J.L-A.L_ on a pack of Tor Ultra’s.
Coming in hot with two different models, one high-top version of the Tor Ultra and one low-top of the same model, both share similar details while maintaining the utilitarian design HOKA is well-known for. On the high-top model, deep black and purple shades take over the silhouette with the upper composed of a thick material ready for the natural elements while the low-top borrows this same material in a more traditional khaki shade. Perforated details land on the midfoot while 3M reflective hits are found on the HOKA logo, eyelets, and TPU toecap. Underfoot sits a thick rubber midsole and outsole with the latter lugged for outdoor use.
The J.L-A.L_ x HOKA Collection is set to drop on January 19th, 2023 through J.L-A.L_ while HOKA and select retailers will release globally the following day on January 20th. As of this writing, sizing and pricing information is TBA.
