Jordan Brand is no stranger to high-profile collaborations, and Colombian superstar J. Balvin has undoubtedly made his mark on the roster. Following up on his highly-anticipated Air Jordan 3 Medellín Sunset in September 2023, Sole Retriever can confirm that Balvin is again partnering with Jordan Brand to drop a fresh take on the Jordan 3 in Summer 2024.
Coming in a color scheme of black, solar flare, total crimson, and abyss, J. Balvin's Jordan 3 Rio starkly contrasts Balvin's previous Medellín Sunset AJ3. All-Black leather is utilized on the toe, midfoot, and collar, while we see dark grey and black elephant print on the heel and mudguard. Like Balvin's original Jordan 3, this new pair features a gradient pattern on the heel tab and the back portion of the midsole. Underfoot sits a translucent gradient pattern on the outsole.
The J. Balvin x Air Jordan 3 Retro Rio is set to release on May 22, 2024, through Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers online and in-store. J Balvin is giving early access to fans who sign up for an account on famila.jbalvin.com. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $250.
