You’ve probably heard of HEYDUDE, the comfort-focused footwear brand that made a name for itself with lake vacation-ready slip-on moccasins and sandals, but after collaborating with Jelly Roll, Disney, and more, the brand is ready to step into the trendy lifestyle side of the industry, and they’re doing it with the help of a legend.
Steven Smith’s Latest Stride
Fresh off work with Crocs (which acquired HEYDUDE in 2022), Steven Smith, the famed designer whose resume is stacked with success at Yeezy, adidas, New Balance, Reebok, and more, is taking his latest creative endeavor in a new direction. Dubbed the ultimate dad shoe, Smith’s latest footwear creation is the HEYDUDE Stride S, a modern comfort-focused shoe for dudes of all kinds.
The HEYDUDE Stride S features a fully perforated upper with a steel grey and white two-tone base covered in light grey stabilization panels that run up the toebox to the lace panel, across the sides, and back to the heel. A stacked, wavy midsole fits right in with other comfort-focused footwear on the market, and HEYDUDE branding is added to the lateral side of the lace panel and on the top of the tongue.
HEYDUDE Stride S Release Details
