NASA’s On-Air team for the Artemis Mission broadcasts will wear the collaborative gear.

Golf Wang x Oxcart Assembly x NASA x Converse Chuck 70 All-Star

With the private sector of the space industry reigning supreme over the last decade due to NASA decommissioning the Space Shuttle Program, interest in space travel as a whole has dwindled. With this in mind, it is exciting to see America’s space agency with a renewed spirit and sky-high ambitions to eventually bring humans to Mars with the upcoming launch of the Artemis-1 mission. The most powerful rocket ever assembled will make a trip to the moon unmanned to demonstrate the SLS Rocket’s capabilities for future endeavors into deep space. For such a historic moment, the creative agency Oxcart Assembly is teaming up with Tyler, The Creator and his Golf Wang label to create special collaborative apparel to be won by the On-Air broadcast team, including a custom pair of Converse Chuck 70s.

For the footwear, the aforementioned Chuck 70 gets a gradient makeover in space-like colors ranging from deep purples to light peachy oranges. Clear vulcanized rubber takes over the usually all-white material while the eyestays remain true to the original, getting a chrome finish. White laces match both the sockliner and All-Star patch on the medial side. Housed in special NASA-themed packaging, the box is plastered with co-branding between NASA, Golf Wang, and Oxcart Assembly while the inside contains special graphics and a message to the crew who will adorn the sneakers on air.

Apparel contains various staple wardrobe pieces, from crewnecks to overcoats that get the Artemis-1 mission emblem as well as logos for all three collaborators. Check below to browse the full collection that is made exclusively for the broadcast crew and will be worn during the broadcast on September 3rd.
