As a brand that has always been associated with individuality and free expression, Dr. Martens has a rich history of aligning with artists and causes that echo these values. To celebrate Pride Month, Dr. Martens teams up with Japanese artist, illustrator, and zine creator Fuyuki Kanai for a special edition of the iconic 1460 boot.
Fuyuki's manga-inspired drawings appear across the boot's white leather upper and are intended to reflect inclusivity, community, and queer relationships. The monochromatic design allows the intricate illustrations to take center stage, turning the boot into a walking piece of art. Despite the artistic flair, the boot maintains its traditional Dr. Martens features, including the brand's signature DMS sole. The design is completed with an AirWair heel loop and the classic welt stitch, both presented in a vibrant pop of red.
The Fuyuki Kanai x Dr. Martens 1460 Pride is currently available through Dr. Martens online and in-store. Available in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $180. Keep it locked to our Twitter and the Sole Retriever mobile app to stay updated on the latest releases, raffles, news, and more in the sneaker and streetwear world.
