When you’re in Tokyo, you check in with Hiroshi Fujiwara. If you have the privilege, that is. For Infinite Archives founder Easy Otabor, a recent trip to Japan has packed the creative’s Instagram stories full of international intrigue, but nothing more interesting to our eyes than a never-before-seen look at a fragment design x Nike Air Force 1.

The fragment design x Nike Air Force 1 Friends & Family is a study in premium material on a black and white canvas, posted to IG by Otabor alongside the caption “Simplicity, quality, and attention to detail.” Honestly, we couldn’t have said it better.

From the one close-up photo, the shoe shows premium textured white leather across the toe, lace, and heel paneling, with soft black nubuck on the side panel and a black nubuck half-Swoosh peaking out from under the heel paneling. The missing back half of the Swoosh is subtle, but adds everything to the final look. Keeping with fragment x Nike tradition, the midsole adds FRGMT branding alongside the classic AIR hit.

The fragment design x Nike Air Force 1 Friends & Family is just as the name says, and won’t be available at retail. That said, Fujiwara and Nike have been hard at work on a fragment Concept Testing project, with an Air Liquid Max set to hit retailers soon.
