The re-emergence of the Nike Dunk over the past few years has been nothing short of spectacular. While the classic 80s basketball silhouette never left per-say, its popularity has had its fair share of ups and downs over the past thirty plus years. Needless to say, while others can argue, this current run of the Nike Dunk might be its most successful yet.
Not only has the Nike Skateboarding division seen a huge increase in popularity but Nike Sportswear has as well. To be frank, Nike as a whole is winning with every iteration of the Dunk they pump out. While collabs and classic colors dominate, clean original designs peak the interest of traditional and non-traditional sneakerheads. Some of the most basic colorways have been the most sought after, such as white-based and black-based designs with mainstay accents.
Fresh for 2022 we have a look at what is no doubt going to be an instant fan-favorite. Dubbed the “Court Purple” edition, this Nike Dunk Low comes in white and court purple with OG-style color blocking. An all leather upper is broken up by white underlays and purple overlays. Purple branding is found via the Swoosh on the sides and labeling on the tongue tag while white branding is seen on the insoles and back heel tab.
The Nike Dunk Low “Court Purple” is set to release in 2022. They will launch at Nike as well as select retailers in-store and online. They will be available in men’s sizing retailing for $100.
