We’re finally in the year 2026. Well, that’s if you follow the Gregorian calendar, which most of the world uses. But over in China, the traditional Lunar calendar still informs the holidays that are celebrated. Chinese New Year is a major celebration not only in the country, but across the globe, and footwear brands always get in on the action by honoring the year’s zodiac animal. For this Lunar New Year, the calendar shifts to the Year of the Horse.
Alongside the slew of Nike Basketball and Jordan Brand sneakers dropping for the holiday, Nike Sportswear is releasing a collection of sneakers that include the Dunk Low, Air Force 1 Low, P-6000, LD-1000, and Field General themed after the Year of the Horse. The Field General, Air Force 1, and Dunk Low follow similar design motifs, like ornate graphics embroidered on the heel, a pastoral-inspired design on the tongue tag, and Year of the Horse insoles. The other sneakers in the collection use mixtures of suede and leather, and also contain YOTH insoles.
Expect Nike’s Year of the Horse Collection to be released online on January 9, 2026. Below, we’ve included direct links to cop all of Nike’s Lunar New Year sneakers. Check back, because as more pairs drop, we’ll keep this page updated.
