This partnership represents a blend of The Ennoy Professional's minimalist street style with Asics' renowned dedication to quality and comfort in athletic footwear. The chosen silhouette, the Gel-Nimbus 9, is known for its exceptional cushioning and support, making it a fitting canvas for this fashion-forward collaboration.
The Ennoy Professional x Asics Gel-Nimbus 9 collection maintains the label's ethos of clean and neutral designs. One pair is presented in an all-White colorway, while the other is given a sleek Black makeover, each exemplifying simplicity and elegance. These sneakers are enhanced with premium suede details that complement the honeycomb-style mesh base, adding a layer of luxury and textural contrast.
The standard Gel-Nimbus 9 paneling is retained, with multiple layers of suede lending depth to the overall design. In a unique branding twist, the traditional "9" on the lateral heel is replaced by The Ennoy Professional's logo, which also dominates the left sneaker's insole. The sole unit of each shoe reflects the minimal color palette – the Black pair features a cream and grey sole unit, while the White pair boasts a tonal cream sole. This design is completed with a tonal outsole that provides durability and grip and maintains the sneaker's understated elegance.
The Ennoy Professional x Asics Gel-Nimbus 9 released via Ennoy on March 15, 2024, while a global launch via Asics and select retailers will take place on April 5.
