Diadora may not generate the same buzz as the latest Yeezy or Jordan sneaker, but what they lack in hype they make up in quality. Continuing their storied collaborative history with EU retailer END Clothing, the Newcastle-based brand dresses two Diadora V7000s in fruit-themed colorways, “Limoncello” and “Grappa.”
Taking you on a journey through Northern Italy, the "Limoncello" colorway is inspired by the region's popular liquor. Combining premium suede and buttery leather, a two-tone yellow make up the majority of the overlays and underlays on the upper. A set of white laces come weaving through the deep yellow suede eyelets, sitting just above the green tongue featuring Diadora branding. Sitting atop the midfoots perforated leather is a patch of white suede that runs back towards the heel. V7000 is stamped along the heel overlay , with co-branding Diadora and END writing on the heel. On the insole you’ll find a photo of lemons with "Limoncello" branding in white. Rounding out the look is a white midsole paired with a lemon colored outsole. Included in the packaging is a co-branded shot glass, ready for your shot of Limoncello.
Honoring another popular liquor of Northern Italy, the "Grappa" colorway uses the same construction as the "Limoncello" pair. A toned down, almost grey shaded green dresses the suede overlays of the silhouette, while a Crystal Green makes its way onto the tongue, heel tab, and midfoot overlay on the medial side. Grapes themselves make their way onto the insole with "Grappa" writing coming in white. Alongside the two brands appearing on the heel tab, you’ll find co-branding on the included shot glass. Rounding out the look is a white midsole paired with a green rubber outsole.
The END x Diadora V7000 Limoncello and Grappa are set to release on April 2nd, 2022 exclusively through END Clothing, both in-store and online. Coming in men's sizing, both pairs will retail for $209.
