Eastside Golf Lands An Air Jordan 12 Collaboration

Founded in 2019 by Olajuwon Ajanaku, Eastside Golf strives to raise awareness about golf with youth and non-golfers alike, inspiring the culture, promoting diversity, and more for the game. Considering the sport has a major reputation for its exclusivity, the brand is knocking down those barriers with its expertly crafted and designed apparel pieces as well as landing collaborations with major brands, including a previously released Air Jordan 4 Retro Golf back in 2021. Now almost exactly a year to the date since the release of the pair, images have surfaced of a new project completed by both Jordan Brand and Eastside Golf on the Air Jordan 12 silhouette.

Dressing the upper of the collaborative pair is a faux-snakeskin mudguard in an earth tone brown accenting the muslin-shaded tumbled leather seen throughout the rest of the sneaker. Tonal muslin laces run up the same colored tongue, passing through golden eyestays at the top and resting above Eastside Golf’s embroidered logo. Towards the end of the aforementioned faux-snakeskin is a gilded overlay containing “Jumpman” text, resting by a mixed heel pattern containing both shades found throughout the upper. Jordan Golf branding runs down the spine of the heel while the insoles feature a grass graphic on the left pair and dirt on the right pair, an obvious nod to the course the game of golf is played on. Underfoot, a brownish-tinted rubber outsole gets hits of gold via the Jumpman logo on the tongue as well as two semi-translucent grass-covered panels. Completing this special golf-themed sneaker is the box art, containing a painting of Eastside Golf’s mascot teeing off in front of a crowd of bystanders, obviously rocking a pair of Air Jordan’s while doing so.

The Eastside Golf x Air Jordan 12 Retro is slated to release on November 12th, 2022 through Eastside Golf, Nike, and select retailers online and in-store. Coming in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $200.
