Duke Basketball Adds KD 18 PE to Sneaker Rotation

The NCAA basketball season is still stretching its legs, but sneaker brands are already putting in work to lace players with a flood of exclusive sneaker colorways. After bringing out three colorways of Nike Kobe 5 Protro PEs for the Duke men's and women’s basketball teams, Nike is back with another package for the Blue Devils.

The Nike KD 18 Duke PE is the latest exclusive for the Blue Devil team, adding an away jersey blend of black and blue to the latest Durant silhouette. Starting with a shiny metallic blue patent material on the toe and stability structure (similar to the upcoming International Blue colorway), the mesh underneath is black. More black is added on the side panels, KD’s logo is on the tongue in metallic blue, and a Duke D is added on the heel.

In addition to Duke’s four-pack of Kobe and KD PEs, Nike has brought out team-exclusive colorways of the A’One and Ja 3, and on the Jordan side, PEs of the Air Jordan 40, Luka 4, and Tatum 4. USC and Kentucky both had similar Kobe 5 Protro PEs to Duke’s pairs, but so far, the Duke KD 18 is the only player exclusive college colorway we’ve seen of the Slim Reaper’s latest model.
