Drake steps out to Nike’s “The Maxims” award ceremony on Nike Campus in his latest collaborative silhouette.

Once gearing up for a Three Stripes collaboration, Drake eventually switched sides to The Swoosh after the beef between him and the killer combo of Pusha-T and Ye ended that foray in the summer of 2018. A few years down the road, his NOCTA sub-label would be introduced in a variety of apparel collections, though sneakerheads were waiting for his first official Nike silhouette which would be the Hot Step Air Terra. Opinions of the silhouette were mixed during its first release, and on the heels of the Black University Gold colorway making its way to the public, Drake stepped out at The Maxims, a Nike award ceremony, and was spotted wearing his next silhouette with The Swoosh that was first seen back in April of 2022.

Taking clear inspiration from the Zoom Flight 95, the silhouette comes in mid-top form and features a mixture of standard mesh, ballistic mesh, fused plastic overlays, and leather. On his feet was the all-red pair, though images shared by Drake himself showcase an all-white option as well. Plastic fused eyestays host the flat laces as well as Nike branding spelled along each semi-Swoosh-shaped design while the heel portion is home to a 3D Nike Swoosh. On the heel, a nylon pull-tab comes in a two-tone design and sits just above a chrome Nike branded tab. Underfoot is where the clear comparisons to Jason Kidd’s favored silhouette come as the foam gets accenting bug eye features with NOCTA branding in bright chrome.

This new NOCTA x Nike silhouette inspired by the Zoom Flight 95 is still unnamed as of this writing, though more details should emerge in the coming months. As of now, a release is planned for 2023 through Nike, NOCTA, and select retailers online and in-store.
