Nike SB has always had an eye for collaborative partners and is often one of the more inclusive sides of The Swoosh. Recently seen with collaborations with the likes of FroSkate and via an upcoming signature silhouette with Leo Baker, Nike SB is continuing to empower those not often seen as “skaters” by working with Doyenne Skateboards, a women-run skateboarding brand determined to promote diversity, equality, and unity on the Nike SB Blazer Low.
Taking on a canvas construction across its upper, the silhouette takes on shades of coconut milk throughout its design. This creamy hue lands on the rubber mudguard, toebox, eyestays, and other canvas panels while the tongue takes on a darker tan hue. Atop the tongue is a rusty orange and cream-shaded “Doyenne SB” branded tongue tag. These shades continue to the canvas pull tab while the sockliner takes on a solid shade of rusty orange. Along the midfoot, the Nike Swoosh is seen via a thin layer of canvas in a rattan finish, featuring extra stitching details around the edge while another hit of Doyenne branding is placed on the lateral heel. Rounding out the design is the vulcanized rubber midsole in white paired with a rusty orange rubber outsole.
The Doyenne Skateboards x Nike SB Blazer Low is set to release on March 8th, 2023 through select Nike SB-affiliated skate shops, Doyenne Skateboards, and possibly through Nike online. Releasing in unisex sizing, the retail price is set at $100.
