The fall marathon season is upon us, and plenty of runners and specialty running brands are prepping for probably the largest gathering of marathoners this year: the New York City Marathon. We already know brands like Saucony, adidas, Nike, and more have created capsules and special colorways of their running sneakers to commemorate the event, but even high-fashion retailers are getting in on the hype of the running world. Following Dover Street Market’s FuelCell SC Elite v5 collab in April, the New York branch of DSM is dropping another New Balance running shoe.
Dover Street Market x New Balance SuperComp Elite v6 Details
Keeping in line with DSM’s typical muted and neutral color palette, the retailer’s New Balance SuperComp Elite v6 comes in a light grey upper that is accented by black fused panels. These create some structure on the lightweight runner, while the “N” logo and heel counter are done in a reflective 3M silver. More black lands on the lace set, tongue, and sockliner, while Dover Street Market branding graces the tongue and insole.

Inside, the silhouette contains Infinion foam cushioning, with a 40mm stack height in the heel and 32mm in the forefoot for an 8mm drop. A cut-out in the center of the sole unit keeps the weight down while also playing host to a fine-tuned carbon fiber midfoot shank. Finishing the sneaker is the thin rubber outsole, providing elite traction for race day.
