Recent NCAA regulations around NIL (name, image, and likeness) have allowed student-athletes to make money. Stepping into this arena is Division Street, an ambitious project backed by illustrious alumni from the University of Oregon, most notably including Nike's co-founder Phil Knight. Through the pioneering Ducks of a Feather initiative, a nexus between NFT and U of O, Division Street has orchestrated multiple sneaker collaborations with Nike. And now, after the remarkable Dunk Low, which launched via GOAT, the partnership is set to drop another: The Nike Air Force 1 Low Ducks of a Feather.
Limited to just 2,200 pairs worldwide, this Air Force 1 Low iteration speaks to the university's proud legacy and the forward-looking ethos of Ducks of a Feather. The shoe’s predominantly white leather finish is interrupted by green suede accents, carefully placed on the Swoosh, tongue tag, and heel. A nuanced touch sees the suede's green shade subtly differing from the sockliner’s hue. The rear of the sneaker sees the iconic “O” logo of the University of Oregon elegantly embroidered in white. At the same time, a gold hangtag bearing "Ducks of a Feather" signifies the project's connection to the NFT platform. The ensemble rests atop a pristine white midsole, complemented by a contrasting grey outsole. The packaging resonates with the collaboration’s essence for collectors: a green-hued, co-branded Oregon Ducks and Nike box stamped with "LIMITED" on its flank.
The Division Street x Nike Air Force 1 Low Ducks of a Feather will release October 20, 2023, exclusively through GOAT. Offered in men's sizing, the pair comes with a retail price of $182.
