Disney’s The Aristocats Celebrates 55th Birthday With adidas Sneaker Collection

Disney’s animated films stand the test of time as releases from decades ago still hold strong today, maintaining their place in pop culture throughout generations. In 2025, there are plenty of anniversaries the company can celebrate, one of which is The Aristocats from 1970, which follows the story of a pampered feline family abandoned by their owner’s scheming butler, who—with the help of street-smart alley cat Thomas O’Malley—embark on an adventurous journey home through Paris. To celebrate the movie’s 55th birthday, Disney is teaming up with adidas on a three-pack of shoes.
The headline of the three-pack is the adidas Gazelle Bold Marie, which brings Turkish Angora to life through its color palette and added details. A light pink suede is applied across the upper, accented by fuzzy brown fur on the heel tab and brown serrated material on the outline of the satin cream Three Stripes. More cream hues are on the fuzzy lace set, textured leather tongue, and smooth leather sockliner. A depiction of Marie finds a home atop the tongue tag while her iconic bow is attached to the heel.
Alongside the Gazelle Bold, Disney and adidas have crafted two colorways of the Adifom Stan Smith Mule, a platform clog silhouette. Each pair has the same added branding features, including Marie peeking over the edge of the lateral profile, a bow stamped along the toebox, and co-branded logos on the footbed. One colorway is entirely coated in Sandy Pink, while the other comes in Focus Blue.
The 55th Anniversary Collection with adidas for Disney’s The Artisocats will release in May 2025 through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in women’s sizing, the retail price has yet to be announced.
