People are Dip-Dying Their adidas Adizero Evo SLs
Published
The adidas Adizero Evo SL isn’t just built for speed—it’s built to turn heads. Designed as a lightweight performance running shoe, the Evo SL has high-tech features like a Lightstrike Pro midsole for responsive cushioning, an ultra-breathable mesh upper, and a featherweight construction that makes every stride feel effortless. Engineered with insights from elite marathoners and everyday runners alike, the silhouette perfectly balances innovation and approachability, making it a go-to for training sessions, race day, and now, unexpectedly, DIY fashion projects.

The silhouette has a second life beyond the track and the gym, as the sneaker and fashion community have taken a liking to the performance runner. It’s not uncommon to spot sneakerheads talking about how they love the model on social media or seeing someone out and about wearing a pair casually.
adidas has given fans the opportunity to personalize their pairs through dip-dyeing—drenching the shoe in colorful dyes that soak into the mesh and create bold, gradient effects. The Three Stripes hosted a pop-up with Ante Studios before the Berlin Half Marathon, allowing locals to dip-dye their Adizero SLs.

While this pop-up may not make its way across the globe, that doesn’t stop you from dip-dyeing your pair at home. To customize the sneaker, you must first cop a pair, which is usually easier said than done. Many colors have come and gone, but luckily, adidas has a few pairs available right now on their website for you to cop.
