Ultra-limited sneaker releases have always been apart of the sneaker game. While these types of releases can be a pain to get your hands on, we can all get behind when it benefits charitable organizations. For (di)vision, the luxury fashion house, their latest runaway show featured 20 different pairs of upcycled Asics sneakers which all come in a bespoke 90s like design and left many wondering if/when they would hit retail shelves. Unfortunately, the collection is not receiving a large releases but the 20 unique pairs will be sold off in an effort benefiting the organziation Right To Play.
Across the twenty available pairs we see the Asics GEL-NIMBUS 9 and EX89 with the former of the two getting 12 different colorways and the latter filling out the other eight. Each pair comes with standard construction while (di)vision hand-dyes each to feature a unique 90s aesthetic across its upper. Added details like charms, custom laces, co-branded details, and special packaging add a unique flair to the pair. While these pairs may seem distressed or broken down in a way, (di)vision tries to tell a story of finding beauty in things that we see as broken with this aesthetic. Speaking on the organization that will benefit from the sale, Right To Play, they focus on uplighting children in “the world’s most volatile regions” with sports and supports 2.35 million children every year.
The (di)vision x Asics Collection will release exclusively via Naked Copenhagen online on March 17th, 2023. Each of the twenty pairs will retail for $188 and be available in men’s sizing, however, each sneaker is custom and only comes in one size (though there is atleast one pair that should fit you across the collection).
