DEAL And NSC Brings Tear Away Panels To Their Puma Collaboration

Puma has picked up plenty of steam in recent memory with their collaborative efforts stretching past LaMelo Ball to include the likes of Square Enix’s Final Fantasy franchise, Spongebob, and now once again working with Rihanna after a long hiatus. On top of these partnerships, the German-based sportswear label is heading to the Far East to work with Chinese-based retailer DEAL and NSC to bring tear-away uppers to a trade route-inspired pack of Puma sneakers.
Taking over the iconic Puma Suede and TRC Blaze, DEAL looks to the Ancient Tea Horse Road for inspiration. As a trade route spanning thousands of miles, this caravan network was able to bring tea, spices, and tradeable goods across the Chinese landscape as well as regions like Tibet and gets directly referenced through the Puma Suede’s tear-away upper. Above this graphic which features depictions of the route on a map and drawings of caravans you find a tannish-yellow canvas which covers most of the upper. Tonal laces match this shade (though there is a black set included) while the tongue tag features Chinese characters alongside Puma branding. Accenting black hits land on the Puma Formstrip and sockliner while the design comes complete with DEAL branding near the heel and a creamy sole unit below.
On the TRC Blaze we get a mixture of suede, leather, TPU, and canvas come in earthy shades mixed with vibrant hits of red and green. Deep brown hues are found along the mudguard and heel overlay with the latter of the two hosting golden Chinese characters. Along the base of the upper we see the Ancient Tea Horse Road map printed atop the material with this shade matching the tongue and midfoot overlay’s color. Red laces run through green TPU eyelets which complements the co-branded tongue tags and the red sockliner/pull tab. Rounding out the design is the white foam midsole with speckled paint details paired with a red rubber outsole.
The DEAL x NSC x Puma Collection is set to release in April exclusively through DEAL storefronts. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is currently TBA.
