Damian Lillard’s adidas Dame 10 Unveiled the Same Day He’s Waived by The Bucks

Today is a big day for Damian Lillard. The NBA superstar hoped that July 1st would be all about his upcoming signature sneaker with adidas, the adidas Dame 10, but that has become a secondary point. The Milwaukee Bucks waived Lillard, making him a free agent after the lifetime adidas athlete tore his Achilles, which sidelines him for virtually all of the 2025-2026 NBA season.

Let's jump back to the sneaker news of the day, that being the official unveiling of the adidas Dame 10. The silhouette was first previewed by Sole Retriever late last year, but adidas gave us an in-hand look at the sneaker for NBA All-Star 2025. The model marks a first for adidas as it’s the first time an adidas Basketball signature shoe came in at under $100.

“Dame X is a testament to staying true to yourself, showing up every day, and putting in the work no matter what,” said Damian Lillard. “It’s built for the next generation who are chasing their dreams with that same hunger. I wanted to create something that’s accessible, that performs at the highest level, and that feels real on the court and in life.”

Tech specs include a Lightstrike midsole, stretch-woven knit on the upper built for dynamic movement, and a generative rubber outsole with multi-directional traction. To kick off the silhouette, adidas has prepped five colorways, four coming in adult and GS sizing and one kids’ exclusive pair. This includes the Dame’s Light, Brookfield, Dolla Red, Zero Metallic, and the kids’ exclusive Flash Aqua.

The adidas Dame 10 will officially debut on July 3, 2025, through adidas and select retailers online and in-store. Available in adult and GS sizing, the retail price is $90 and $70, respectively.
