Retailer COSTS, based out of the city of Shenzhen in China, brings the concept of elements of the metaverse permeating through all creative endeavors. Whether it be fashion, music, or other trends, the imagination of the metaverse can be seen at the core.
In comes the Saucony Shadow 6000 "Black Hole" edition, a COSTS exclusive collaboration that takes the graphical visualizations of black holes and sheets of visual PVC to invoke a 3D effect, adding multi-dimensional overlays for added intrigue. A predominantly grey sneaker, grid lines of the gravitational pull of black holes can be found printed on every underlay and overlay. The transparent visual PVC is both neatly cut and layered over grey leather panels, with one oversized panel of PVC spilling overtop the midsole from the heel of the upper. The exposed tongue is set behind a clear panel of PVC which reveals a grid of astronomical symbols and the Saucony Originals logo printed at the top. The same astronomical symbols can be found printed neatly in a row on the lighter portion of the midsole. Co-branded insoles, multiple lace options, and a custom box completes the vision of COSTS’ Saucony Originals collaboration.
The COSTS x Saucony Shadow 6000 Black Hole is set to release exclusively online and in-store through COSTS in Shenzhen and online through Saucony Tmall Channels on July 2nd, 2022. Coming in men's sizes, a retail price is TBA. Keep it locked to our Twitter andMobile App to stay up to date on future releases.
