Concepts and New Balance are back with a fruitful collaboration.

Concepts x New Balance 992 "Low Hanging Fruit" Special Box

The Boston-based retailer has teamed back up with their local brand on the classic New Balance 992 silhouette. Nicknamed the “Low Hanging Fruit” edition, this pair draws inspiration from the entrepreneurial spirit of a pioneering fruit seller and the reframing of American luxury. Honoring Frieda Rapoport Caplan, the “Kiwi Queen,” who created the specialty produce industry in the United States. In the 1960s, she gained fame by bringing popularity to the kiwifruit.

The New Balance 992 “Low Hanging Fruit” comes in a clean lime and brown colorway. Featuring a light brown-based upper made up of premium textured suede materials. Neon lime green accents the “N” logo on the side panels, tongue patch, laces and wraps around the back heel of the midsole. Concepts branding on the tongue and back heel are finished off by custom strawberry printed insoles. In addition to the sneaker, Concepts will also be releasing an apparel collection entitled “Nothing Is Real” which ties everything together for this capsule.

The Concepts x New Balance 992 “Low Hanging Fruit” is set to release via Online Raffle on November 10th, 2021. It will launch in-store on November 12th, 2021 at Concepts Boston and Concepts NYC as well as Bodega LA. A limited release, they will be available exclusively in men’s sizing Retail is set at $240, which come housed in special packaging.
