Teased at the beginning of the year, Boston-based retailer Concepts has teamed up with Nike Sportswear to commemorate the 35th Anniversary of the Air Max 1. Three iterations were created, “Multi-Color,” “Wild Violet,” and “Olive Canvas” which is now officially titled “Mellow.” Each pair features a unique combination of materials and colorways representing the Concepts narrative.
Inspired by music, culture and style of the late 60s, the Concepts x Nike Air Max 1 “Mellow” comes in an olive canvas, multi-color and sail colorway. Featuring denim paired with paisley print on the upper, accented by a velvet tongue, cow print and a Mexican blanket style print. Concepts branding is found wrapping around the ankle as well as on the tongue tag and insoles. An olive green mudguard and speckled hits on the midsole are finished off by loose thread embroidery, a custom guitar pick hangtag and special packaging.
The Concepts x Nike Air Max 1 Mellow is set to release on March 5th, 2022 at 11am EST. It will drop exclusively in-store at all Concepts retail locations as well as online at cncpts.com.
